Frankincense helps in the treatment of multiple sclerosis

A small study in Germany, gave a stunning result.

A group of scientists from the Department of neurology , University hospital Schleswig-Holstein (Kiel) together with colleagues from other scientific institutions in Germany, tested Boswellia extract in the treatment of relapsing multiple sclerosis. The results of the experiment greatly exceeded organizers ‘ expectations – reports Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.

During clinical studies the second phase with 28 patients, participants, subjects within 8 months of taking the capsules of Boswellia extract three times a day. At the end of the experiment magnetic resonance imaging, clinical, and immunological analyses found a significant reduction in inflammatory disease activity. To improve the reliability of the results, further studies are needed with attracting more patients.
