American researchers of Harvard University gave the answer to the question that the first signals about the developing human Alzheimer’s disease. This symptom, as demonstrated by their work manifests before the obvious deterioration of mental abilities.
The Harvard scientists concluded that the first sign of development of Alzheimer’s disease is a growing concern with the transition into depression. Alzheimer’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease, one of the most common forms of dementia, called “senile dementia”. Typically, Alzheimer’s develops after age 50, but there are also cases when this disease was diagnosed in people at an earlier age.
According to scientists, the doctors usually detect Alzheimer’s disease when the brain is observed critically high amount of protein amyloid plaques become visible in the decreased as cognitive abilities. But the researchers discovered differential emotional health takes place even earlier and can serve as a method of early diagnosis of the disease, they said.
Such a change in the person’s mood correlates with the beginning of the process of accumulation of amyloid plaques in the brain. This conclusion was made by experts according to the results of monitoring over 300 patients over five years.
