The new treatment focuses on mobilization of the patient.
The Minister of health and care Bavaria Melanie Huml called for use in the treatment of patients with dementia a new approach of the motor, adapting to everyday life, cognitive and spiritual activation patients. This method, which in Germany is used in acronym MAKS promises to slow the loss of mental faculties and orientation of patients and to improve the living conditions of their relatives.
Melanie Huml the Minister for health and care Bavaria:
“MAKS therapy significantly improves autonomy in daily life, as well as the quality of life of people with dementia. This represents a great progress in the treatment of dementia”.
The success of the method MAKS was proven last year one of the research, which was attended by more than 360 of senile dementia.
